Years in long-term care left me with one thing I couldn’t shake: how lonely it can be. Social isolation is one of the most underappreciated harms in around-the-clock assisted living, and it quietly erodes people’s health.
So I prototyped an app built entirely around connection, a social stream, games, memory and activity management, and ways to pull in other residents, staff, and a resident’s own family. I also explored the bigger shape of it as a device-spanning AI companion that could handle reminders, education, and a direct line to a provider.
