I’ve spent most of my life in the Midwest and now live in a small farming town in Iowa with my family.
Many moons ago, in 2012, I was first licensed as a registered nurse. Early in my career, my wife and I decided to become travel nurses together. We worked in many places big and small, but eventually settled in Wisconsin where I became a nursing supervisor.
After the pandemic, I was looking for a change and decided to become an agency recruiter. For the first time, this is where I really got to flex my sales and marketing skills. Little did I know I would end up being a top producer at two separate agencies.
I wanted to do more and eventually summoned the courage to start a business. I packaged my social media strategies into a system and sold that to recruiters. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer only a few weeks after I launched and had to close down.
After the dust settled and my health returned to normal, a unique opportunity fell in my lap. I was approached to be the social media director at a VC-backed, seed-stage startup launching a healthcare hiring marketplace.
As time progressed, I found myself contributing to the product’s development as much as the marketing side. That’s when I realized the intersection of product and marketing is somewhere I really enjoy being.
My career has been full of adventures. I’m a passionate guy who loves working hard and being creative. I’m always happiest building things that improve the lives of others.
